Walden Pond
Feel that relaxing view with the Walden Pond. You will prefer to be alone in this quiet, peaceful pond. You will enjoy the time of being by yourself. Thoreau spent two hardscrabble years here listening to a different drummer. The pond, now part of a 304-acre state recreation area, offers swimming, hiking, and communing with nature.

Ballarat/Sovereign Hill
The Ballarat is the Australia's most famous gold rush in the 1850s. 69km north-west of Melbourne. This city is now a thriving modern commercial center but it retains the character of earlier days in many well-preseved buildings. In the vicinity of Sovereign Hill, a faithfully reconstructed town of the era, you can find pan for gold, ride a stagecoach and generally experience those heady days.
