In the 1920’s, Lord and Lady Mountbatten were so curious about how movies were made that they requested—and received—a private tour of the Chaplin Studios in Los Angeles, from Charlie himself.

Today, one needn’t be titled to learn the secrets of a Hollywood film factory, or of any other inner sanctum of high or low culture, be it a grand opera house, national network television studio, classical music concert hall, Las Vegas hotel stage, or opulent old-time movie palace. – Stephen M.
